M Kitchen and Espresso is a relaxed café tucked away on the top floor of Myer in Penrith Plaza, offering a casual spot for coffee lovers and families alike. It has found a balance between convenient mall dining and a welcoming local hangout, making it a regular stop for parents with young kids as well as those after a solid brunch or lunch.

The café’s vibe is low-key and spacious, with tables arranged to allow for comfortable distance between groups — something appreciated by visitors who want to linger without feeling cramped. A small play area tucked to one side keeps toddlers happily occupied, making it a practical choice for families who want to combine a quick coffee break with some kid-friendly downtime. Plenty of locals seem to appreciate this setup, often returning multiple times just to let the children play while they enjoy the menu.

Speaking of the menu, M Kitchen and Espresso offers a diversity of options beyond the usual café staples. Coffee ranges cover the classics — espresso, flat white, and chai latte — all served alongside baked treats and hearty meals. Banana bread and avocado smash are popular picks for a light bite, while those craving something more filling can opt for dishes like the buttermilk fried chicken or the Stars and Stripes burger paired with crispy waffle fries. The brekkie wrap with spinach, bacon, and egg is another solid choice for a satisfying start to the day.

Though the café can get busy around typical brunch times, especially Sunday lunch, the staff’s friendly and accommodating nature helps keep the atmosphere easygoing even during a wait. Visitors report that while orders might take some time during peak hours, the food and coffee justify the patience. This makes mornings and early afternoons a good window for those looking to beat the rush.

Overall, M Kitchen and Espresso serves as a reliable local option in Penrith for anyone after a no-fuss meal or coffee session that works well for both family visits and casual catch-ups. It’s particularly well-suited to parents who appreciate a touch of entertainment for the kids and a solid burger or coffee for themselves in return.

I come here at least twice a month with my kids. The playground is for them but the burger is for me. Hands down my favourite burger anywhere! Glad that it's in Myer and not open all day/night or have a drive thru cause I would be getting that burger at like midnight on a Thursday. Staff are also lovely. Have not had a bad experience here after maybe 50+ visits. My only gripe is it would not hurt to have the floors deep cleaned every now and then. The leather chairs are also in need of replacing near the kids playground. I purposely never sit there cause it smells funky and isn't the cleanest. Doesn't affect my rating cause I just don't sit there lol.

Nice, quiet place to enjoy a coffee and cake or lunch. Staff are friendly, coffee is good and good variety of meals. Small play area for toddlers. Great atmosphere

I came here a couple weeks ago and completely forget to leave a review! The cafe was nice with enough room in between each table and in my eyes, it was clean. The playground entertained the kids the whole time, and when we left, they didn't want to leave. The Big Brekkie was my meal, it had the perfect amount of food and I really enjoyed it. A big thanks to the staff who were so polite, especially a young man called Christian. Christian was polite and well mannered, with the perfect recommendations for my family. The only thing I regret, is not leaving Christian and the team a tip! I highly recommend this cafe.

Nice cafe tucked inside Myer Penrith. You'll wait an hour for your food though (ordered till arrival at your table with your drink at 30 mins) if you're attempting a Sunday lunch at 12 midday. Food is good.

An absolute gem located on the top floor of Myer at Penrith Plaza. Nothing was a problem for these girls, and the food and coffee was to die for! My new favourite place in Penrith!
